Please visit the library lobby all month long for Terrence J. Kiernan's "Earth, Wood & Sky" art exhibit.
Terrence studied at the Boston Museum School of Fine Arts, using this experience to experiment with different mediums and techniques. Now, with a non-structured approach to painting in acrylics, Kiernan uses a loose impressionistic abstract style; he interprets nature by layering color and creating texture. To Kiernan, “The painting is more of a reveal than something I manufacture with my skill set - this makes the creative process exhilarating and turbulent.
A favorite quote of mine is from Jackson Pollack: “It doesn’t matter how the paint is applied, just as long as something is said.” I try to apply that quote in every piece that I do.
Terrence's Art Reception will be held on Tuesday, October 6th in the lobby beginning at 5:30 pm.
