The West Springfield Public library is a vital community resource for local parents with young children. We offer a wide variety of materials and services for our youngest patrons and their families.
The material collections include board books, picture books, big books, book + CD sets, book & puppet sets, theme learning kits, magazines, parent/teacher materials, beginning readers, juvenile non-fiction, music CD’s and videos in DVD format.
Services include age appropriate storytime sessions which incorporate literacy building methods and activities, evening and Saturday storytimes, Saturday drop-in crafts, inclusion in our annual Summer Reading Program as “Read-To-Me” participants, special programming in the summer and outreach services at Headstart and area preschools.
